Kristen Stewart has been putting on a brave face on red carpets across the world these past few weeks for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The 20-year-old actress has offered up another odd explanation for her stoic expression at promotional events.

Stewart told Britain's Hello! magazine (via Popeater) that she sometimes has to "keep myself from crying."

How come?

"I don't feel very comfortable on the red carpet," she says of Twilight's massive premieres. "I look out there at a thousand people and I realize they could rush me and assassinate me."

The secret love of Robert Pattinson adds: "No security could protect me" from the franchise's rabid fans. "Ostensibly they're fans, but I think about them turning on me."

It's not the first time Stewart has complained about fame. She recently told Britain's Elle magazine that dealing with paparazzi was "like being raped."

She later apologized for the  comment. "I'm so sensitive about stuff like that...I used the wrong word. I should have said 'violated'," she explained to Entertainment Weekly.

Allright now listen, this is rediculouse, i see people comment and all you see is "Shove you a*s somewhere else" Well if you dont like her then dont sit there like a lonely loner, and read about her... Let her live her life like she wants to live it, let her say what she wants to say, just back off of her, if this was you would you want this too happen?

dude, id gladly take her place. i dont think she really appreciates what she's got. there are tons of good actresses and actors out there that work their butts off, and never get a role because they're not as famous as others who tried out...

i think it any person was put into a situation where thousands of people are flashing cameras or screaming non stop, you would complain too. i definitely would be uncomfortable! Kristen has been acting since what? age 8 or something? all of a sudden she signs up for this and thousands of people go crazy! I don't think she's ungrateful of the fans but tired of it. imagine not being able to walk the street without geeky obsessed teenagers rushing you or just the fact a that a big mob or people are rushing you

I understand what your going though kristen, it's hard being around fans and cameras all the time, and feeling like your going to get push down by some crazy fan, it's hard but just get though it and it won't bother you anymore, and maybe robert pattinson can use his vampire teeth to tell cameras and fans to not mess with me or you. Love You Kristen, Have a happy summer.

I 100% agree with every so-called "oddball" comment Kristen Stewart has made. Here's what I think. She's obviously an introvert, meaning she does better one-on-one and needs time to process things. I don't think she's a whiner. I think she's honest. I think she merely says what many people think, unfortunately most are too caught up in their image to be so bold. And if she doesn't like being on the red carpet, she shouldn't have to pretend she does. There are many actors who love the process of making films, but do not want the added attention of red carpets and award shows. This is also true of musicians, writers, etc. Johnny Depp is a perfect example. Why do you think he hides out in the south of France? The man owns an island for crying out loud. I think Kristen is very intelligent, sensitive, and needs her space. When you take someone like that and place them in an environment so far removed from their comfort zone, feelings of anxiety, frustration, and overall discomfort are bound to arise. And what she is talking about is true--the crowd mentality can be frightening, in that a mere shift in energy can cause the collective mass to teeter. She is merely pointing out the thin line between love and hate...that can more easily be experience than explained. I think Kristen would probably be happier back doing indie films where there is much less superficial bs, and the focus is on the art not the celebrity image. Anyway, cheers to Kristin and I hope she continues to be honest about who she is :)

She always looks uncomfortable, paranoid and her facial expressions are extremely off in whatever situation she's in. She looks insecure and uncertain every time I see her. I hope her people are helping her with these issues otherwise her career won't ne going any further.

She needs to go to Tibet and like meditate for a year. I am not kidding. There's a bigger world out there than you Kristen. Release positivity. It's possible.

one more thing, someone with true social anxiety would never want to be an actress, they would have to much fear of acting in front of so many people. similar to not wanting to speak in front of a classroom

  • July 03, 2010 - 7:42pm ANNIE

ungrateful. the fans dont wanna assasinate her! We need her around for breaking Dawn! but I suggest she find a new occupation when this saga ends. I think she would do well as a mortician. Besides then no one at her complain at the role she chose to do. Grow up Kristen no cares about enough to go to Jail

She really needs therapy. She is extremely moody, self-absorbed, and paranoid. She's not as important to people as she thinks she is.

  • July 02, 2010 - 11:02pm Nancy

Boo hoo if she didn't want to be famous then why did she become an actress. Take your whining a*s elsewhere

  • July 02, 2010 - 6:56pm Danyelle

Even if I hate this girl, she's entirely right. There are people who hate her crazily, and then there are people who love her crazily... Look at Selena. She got shot by her number one fan. However, Kristin really needs to just go ahead and shut her mouth. She digs herself deeper everytime she talks. And as far as it being a social anxiety disorder, I cry bullcrap. She's got more than enough money to see a therapist and buy her medication. If she's not doing so, IT'S HER FAULT. I have no sympathy for her, either way. She picked the wrong job.

  • July 02, 2010 - 2:17pm huh???

She's right, the love can turn to hate in a second and people can turn violent. However, if you're in that business, you can't obsess about that. Maybe this isn't the best line of work for her. She seems to have a lot of anxiety. As for her and Rob being gay, change the CD. According to these self rightous outers, everyone who's not stereotypically feminine or masculine is gay. Give me a break!

  • July 02, 2010 - 2:15pm lalagirl

    SERIOUSLY :S I doubt that.

Don't think that way Kristen..you do have true fans that like you for who you are and please don't change!! You are the anti-Hollywood type, and for that I commend you. You are truly my favorite actress!!!

  • July 02, 2010 - 12:48pm andy

  • July 02, 2010 - 12:47pm andy

  • July 02, 2010 - 11:51am zina

I think that the guy and her are gay. I've got nothing agian gay people but the media kills them as soon as the come out. and the public is like a person with biopolar who had too much to drink. bad mix.

  • July 02, 2010 - 10:24am AMO
