Who Earns the Most (and Least) on The Hills

Kristin Cavallari and Audrina Patridge may compete for men on the upcoming season of The Hills (premiering Tuesday).
How do they compare in the money department?
Figures reported by the Daily Beast reveal that Cavallari, 22, earns $90,000 an episode.

That's $10,000 less than for Patridge, 24, and Lauren "Lo" Bosworth, 22, who each rake in $100,000.
As for Speidi, Montag, 23, nets $100,000 an episode, while Pratt, 26, gets $65,000 an episode. (Both can make up to $30,000 for personal appearances, according to the web site.)

And though Lauren Conrad has since left the MTV show, she earned a whopping $125,000 per episode during her heyday. (Her deal also stipulated that no other star's salary could match hers.)
Which Hills star earns the least? Brody Jenner, who gets $45,000 a show.

43It's crazy Lo makes that much, she's hardly on the show, and she never does anything other then tag along, she's not even needed on the show, I love everyone else!
$125,000 per EPISODE. And how many episodes are there per season? I work 40 hours a week and would feel so blessed to make even $35,000 a YEAR. It's such b.s. I hate this show because all it is is a bunch of spoiled brats fighting with eachother and causing drama. What is so enjoyable about seeing that?
we can all get upset over how much these kids get paid to do nothing- however, they get paid- because we tune in-every week, to watch them do nothing; whats even worse- is that it can hardly be called a "reality" show

I'll admit, that I do love watching "The Hills" in all of its cheesy, fake glory! But when I think about it I really shouldn't be. Here I am trying to pay off college loans and these people get paid for basically just living their life. Why can't I get paid for living my life? :)

Why does Brody make $45k & LO make $100k? I think now that Lauren is gone, she shouldn't even be on the show.
UGH This is lucadris! They dont do anything to earn that much money.. Guess they better enjoy it now & save up, cause when MTV FINALLY comes to their senses, & cancels it we'll never have to see any of these people again!

I agree! Its sad that I work a 9-5 job and don't even make 1/4 of that! All they have to do is talk about lame stuff for about 30 minutes a day~ What has this world come to?
The problem isn't that they are getting paid in obscene amount- the real issue is that US as consumers keep watching, buying their sponsored products, etc. WE are contributing to their "success" in doing absolutely nothing for absolutely everything.
I don't see why these kids should get paid such an obscene amount of money for doing nothing all day. Are we so obsessed with "celebrity" these days that even "nobodies" are treated like they're "somebody". Actors at least earn their status... but I agree with 9:54 - if someone offered me money for doing nothing, I'd take it in a heartbeat.

To Heather: you have to be rich in the first place to earn that much because you have to showcase your extravagant life, and its reality show so it has to be believable. Next, you have to be skinny. third, you have to be fashionable and flashy. bla bla bla you now the drill. Rich gets richer
What I want to know is where does all of that money come from and how do I get my hands on some?
It's sad but you know, everyone would love their job. We'd all take that money in a second so you can't hate on them for doing it. You can hate on Heidi for being a flippin idiot but not for taking the money to do a reality show. I'd do it. That's life. The luck of the draw of being in the right place at the right time when MTV was casting this show.
Wow...That means those of us that work at real jobs are SERIOUSLY underpaid! Of course, another way to look at it is that these "people" are paid WAY too much for doing absolutely nothing!
Ugh this is so ridiculous!! We talk about helping the poor in third worlds an what not yet pay ridiculous reality "stars" like these hills brats and psyched out moms like Kate Gosselin all this money just to show case their supposed lives??? Makes me so mad! Seriously cops do deserve more!!
