‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ Finale Recap: Rob Kardashian Skips Baby Shower, Kris Jenner Gets in Car Accident

Oh, brother! Rob Kardashian threw a fit on the Sunday, November 20, season 12 finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, but it was all because he interpreted a party thrown in his honor to be some sort of insult to his pregnant fiancée! Beyond that, Kim Kardashian got a taste of what it’s like to be her mom by acting as manager for a few days. Let’s just say she learned it’s a lot harder than it looks …

The episode started with Khloé Kardashian suggesting that the family do something nice for Rob’s pregnant boo, Blac Chyna. Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian called Blac Chyna, offering to take her for a day of spoiling to make up for the fact that they weren’t going to be in town the day she was having her baby shower.

Later, Rob revealed he and Chyna weren’t currently living together and were having a rough time. To help out, Scott Disick decided to teach Rob how to be a dad by inviting a professional childcare worker over to teach him how to change a diaper. Khloé and Kourtney, meanwhile, decided to help Rob by throwing him his own shower.

Before that big party could happen, Scott dragged Rob to a daycare center and put him in charge of the kids for a few hours. “You’re a good-hearted person, and you’re going to be a good dad,” Scott told Rob after seeing him corral a bunch of crying kids.

Khloé expressed frustration with momager Kris Jenner for not being responsive enough to business-related messages, but in the next scene, she and Kylie Jenner were informed that their mother was in a car accident. Khloé’s anger disappeared as they rushed to a car to get to her. The emergency was caught on what seemed to be a cellphone camera, adding to the drama.

They got Kris home, and she got hugs from everyone from Kanye West to Scott. As the rattled matriarch rested, Kim took over doing some managerial tasks for Kylie’s upcoming trip to Australia. She joked that she could easily manage her sisters better than their mom.

After hearing her sister’s concerns, Kim decided to help Khloé by becoming her manager for the week. In fact, she became all of her sisters’ manager for the week!

“Why not let her be the little Kris Jenner for a minute?” Khloé asked the camera. Kim looked extremely overwhelmed after spending a day making calls, so maybe that’s why not. Unfortunately, the mobile app mogul failed to show up for a business meeting of Khloé’s, leading the younger sister to go off on her older sib for not following through. The Revenge Body star claimed Kim was “acting just like” their mother by failing to prioritize her.

Kim apologized and admitted that they were probably too hard on Kris, whose job is tough!

Party Foul

The person who was really acting just like Kris was Kris herself. She practically bought up a whole store as she got gifts for Rob and Chyna’s baby shower. Too bad Rob didn’t even want to come, which sent Kim, Khloé and Kourtney into panic mode. Kim called Chyna, who told Kim to just have the party in Rob’s honor without her there, to reduce drama.

With that directive in mind, they set out to “celebrate Rob” by decking out the shower with “DILF” hats and an outdoor movie-projection screen. As the whole family gathered with a bunch of Rob’s guy friends, the man of the hour called and told them he wasn’t coming if Chyna wasn’t invited. (A source previously told Us Weekly that both Rob and Chyna opted to skip the September 22 shower that his family had been planning because the couple weren’t pleased that the event would be filmed for KUWTK.)

The episode skipped over what we know happened next, which was that Rob tweeted Kylie’s phone number to his followers. Instead, it moved a few days into the future and showed Rob calling Kris to apologize for misunderstanding the situation and then sending his mother balloons that spelled out, “I love you, Mom.”

The Kardashian-Jenner clan forgave him and invited the parents-to-be over to open the gifts Rob never made it to his own party to accept.
