Little monsters party hard! Lady Gaga rocks out and flips her ponytail back and forth in the music video for her song "Perfect Illusion," which she released on Tuesday, September 20.

The American Horror Story actress, 30, kept her wardrobe simple for the video, especially compared to her usually eye-catching and eccentric wardrobe choices. For the most part, she wears tight sequin shorts and a gray crop top.

At the beginning of the video, the singer is seen driving in the desert alone. She jumps out to dance like no one's watching and later joins a packed crowd at an outdoor concert.

"It wasn't love, it wasn't love / It was a perfect illusion / Mistaken for love, it wasn't love / It was a perfect illusion / You were a perfect illusion," she belts out. "I don't need eyes to see / I felt you touchin' me / High like amphetamine / Maybe you're just a dream."

Perfect Illusion is the singer's first single off her upcoming fifth album. Earlier this month, she clarified that the tune isn't about her ex-fiancé, Taylor Kinney. "I love Taylor so, so much," she said on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy.

"This song is not a hit out against Taylor. He’s my best friend," she continued. "This song is just about, I’m sure, not only feelings I’ve had but feelings he’s had, that my friends have had, that my sister has in her relationship. It’s a record about all of us, and I would never use my song or want to use the public to hurt anyone that I love so much. … We’re just two people figuring it out."

Lady Gaga and the Chicago Fire hunk, 35, announced their split in July after five years together. As Us Weekly exclusively revealed, the pair have been talking and "Taylor really hopes they’ll get back together."
