Leave It to Beaver star Barbara Billingsley has died at age 94, a family spokesperson confirmed Saturday.

The actress was most famous for playing all-American mom and housewife June Cleaver in the classic sitcom, which ran from 1957 to 1963 (two reunion TV films were made in 1983 and 1997).

Among dozens of other TV and film credits, the star also made a memorable turn as a "jive talking" airline passenger in the classic 1980 comedy Airplane!

Twice-married, Billingsley is survived by two sons and four grandchildren.

    I just loved her in Leave It To Beaver. She also did a really good job as a guest on the Roseanne show. May she rest in peace.

    I loved her. She was a favorite part of my day. I loved hearing Beaver wait till your father gets home and father would give a good talking to not like today when u cringe at the sound of your dads car pulling up

    most all of the young starlets and poptarts could learn something from her grace and poise...oh this is sad *sniffle*, but she DID live an incredible life...she is up in heaven dusting and cleaning God's mantle in pearls and pumps...Peace to her family...
