Is that you, Leo?!

In the newly released trailer for Clint Eastwood's biopic, J. Edgar, Leonardo DiCaprio portrays FBI chief J. Edgar Hoover. For the edgy role, DiCaprio, 36, ages from his 30s into his 70s.

The film largely covers Hoover's role in the establishment of the FBI in the 1930s. When Armie Hammer's character, Clyde Tolson, questions the legality of what he's ordered to do, Hoover replies: "Sometimes you need to bend the rules a little in order to keep your country safe."

In regards to the speculation that Hoover and Tolson were lovers, Eastwood told GQ magazine that the character's sexuality is not the focus of the film. "It's not a movie about two gay guys," the legendary actor-director said. "It's a movie about how [Hoover] manipulated everybody around him and managed to stay on through nine presidents. I mean, I don't give a crap if he was gay or not."
