Lil Wayne and Paris Hilton share an unlikely bond: the rapper, 28, and the socialite, 30, have both spent time in solitary confinement.

In the April issue of Interview, Hilton asks the hip-hop juggernaut about his eight-month stint in the Rikers Island prison facility in 2010.

"For me it was okay, because it just meant that I was alone with my thoughts," Wayne explains. [The musician turned himself in to authorities after he struck a plea deal stemming from a 2007 gun arrest near the Beacon Theatre in NYC.]

"I had to do 24 nights in solitary," Hilton told him. [The heiress was placed in a separate cell as a safety precaution in 2007; she checked herself into the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif. after violating her probation stemming from a 2006 DUI arrest.]

"How happy are you to have your freedom now?" Hilton asks.

"Words cannot explain," he tells her.

"Yeah, I know how you feel," Hilton laughs. "It's the best feeling in the world when you come out."

Now that they're both out of prison, the unlikely duo is toying with the idea of collaborating on Hilton's sophomore CD.

"I'd really love to finish my album, because I've been working on it for so long," Hilton says. "I want to release it by this summer, because I have a lot of summer bangers. I want to just have it out, because that's when people love to party."

"How are you going to release an album and don't get me on it?" the Grammy Award winner inquires.

"Well, if you would be on the album, then I would be honored," Hilton says. "That would be the sickest thing."
