Katie Couric is gearing up for the big premiere of her upcoming talk show, Katie.
In a new promo video exclusive to Us Weekly, the 55-year-old former CBS Evening News anchor, Couric visits parks, malls and parking lots to pass out invitations to watch her new show.
"Don't forget to watch!" she says. "It's going to be fun!"
Couric recently told Jay Leno that her new show will be "sort of a little bit of what Oprah [Winfrey] did."
"Obviously, no one can ever fill Oprah's shoes," she added. "But some of the things that she did on her show, some of the things we used to do on the TODAY Show."
The journalist left NBC's TODAY in 2006 after 15 years as co-host to join CBS, but she's ready to go back to her daytime roots.
"I'm really looking forward to it because, creatively, it's such an exciting challenge for me, and I think I'm better at interacting and talking to people and synthesizing complicated subjects -- I hope -- and you know doing interviews that require some empathy," Couric told Leno. "On the [CBS] Evening News, it was hard to do that in that very structured format.
Katie premieres on Sept. 10 in national syndication.
