Cardi B. of Love & Hip Hop: New York became quite candid when she stopped by Us Weekly Video February 18. The model/rapper clued Us in on the VH1 show’s behind-the-scenes drama that continues to unfold in the city that never sleeps.
Cardi, 23, admits that she doesn’t understand the allure of Peter Gunz — the rapper who juggles ex-girlfriend Tara Wallace and his current wife, Amina Buddafly. Both were both pregnant with his children at the same time during the show’s sixth season. Tara gave birth to her third son with Peter, Gunner, on February 13.
“One of my friends has to have sex with Peter Gunz,” she jokes. “We need to now about that d–k game! Doesn’t he have nine kids?!”
While she can’t grasp the dynamics of the Gunz love triangle, she can relate to another show story line: Yandy Smith‘s. Smith’s husband, Mendeecees Harris, began his eight-year prison sentence for drug trafficking charges in January — leaving his wife and three children behind.
“Her story with her husband is really heartbreaking,” Cardi says. “I date a guy that’s in jail, and we don’t even have kids.”
Cardi is moving forward with Tommy, who she wants to marry before he finishes his sentence … and promises Us that she’s leaving her old flame behind.
“Self … is a typical man,” she says. “Get as much ass as you want! But remember, you’re getting older, though. I’m over it.”
