Madison: Why I Quit The Bachelor

She may have simultaneously freaked out Bachelor Brad Womack and turned him on with her fake fangs in the premiere episode, but Madison Garton failed to win his heart.
On Monday's episode, the 25-year-old Garton chose to abruptly leave the series in the middle of the final rose ceremony.

So what prompted the aspiring actress to pack her bags?
Fellow contestant Emily Maynard's decision to reveal her tragic past to Womack. During a one-on-one date with the Texan, 38, at the Cambria Estate Winery in Santa Clarita, Calif., event planner Maynard, 24, came clean to him about the secret she's been hiding: The sad details of her fiance's plane crash and the birth of her now 5-year-old daughter.

"Hearing Emily's story, it became very real," Garton told Womack at the cocktail party just prior to the rose ceremony on Monday's show. "It seems like a lot of girls here already have their heart on the line for you and anything I do now would be taking away from them. It could have been very different if I showed my cards and been the real me from the beginning. There's every chance that I'll wake up tomorrow and wonder what the heck I just did."
A shell-shocked Womack -- who trailed behind Garton when she stormed off The Bachelor set -- supported her decision to go.

"Take it from me, if you continue to let guards prevent you from falling for someone or just being yourself, you're not going to get anywhere," he said. "[Madison] can't let go of my relationship with Emily, as opposed to just focusing on our relationship. [With her leaving,] I think I'm missing out on a hell of a girl."

17What she did was selfless and admirable. She just wasn't as emotionally invested as some of the other girls and took herself out of the running to guarantee them a better chance. Brad himself keeps say "if anyone doesn't want to be here, please don't accept these roses". She didn't feel it was the right place for her, so she left. It may have been a little dramatic, in mid- ceremony, but she did the right thing and she was CLASSY about it (remaining contestants, take note.
You made the right move when you left Bachelor. He played all of America and the woman before and he's doing it again! I am glad you left with Dignity, because if you stayed, it would have been self-loathing!
@jackie i hate when he collectively refers to them as "the women" ugh, I have a great group of women, i'm taking the women, the women are opening up to me GAH i hate it! Why can't he say people or gang or group or whatever once in a while, change it up! ps i'm 25 now and i LOVE being called a girl, makes me feel less ancient LOL
She was on the show from the beginning as a publicity stunt. I went to HS with her and in no way shape or form was I surprized when I saw her on the season premeier. Typical. I could only laugh. Probably one of the most cold hearted girls I have ever met. If you want my honest opinion, she couldn't handle being around several other adorable girls. Madisson had a reputation for hating on pretty girls. She was a bully and is probably not used to be just another pretty face. Gag me. Those fangs were a joke. I am ammused that she had to stoop to that level to "make a name for herself" I promise, this was all one big plan... to get people talking, magazines writing, and hopefully open up a door for her "acting" career.
Well that's a real kick in the career, isn't it? Oh well, Mad, there's always porno!
Why do people on this show always refer to the females as "GIRLS". That is so condescending to "WOMEN'. The males on the show are called "MEN" so why aren' the females called "WOMEN"? Am I the only one that is offended by this?
All these idiots on this show actually think they have real relationships going on. How pathetic.
She's cute & will find a good guy, but...she does kinda have an interesting mouth piece & I'm glad they stopped putting Afr.-Amer. women or any woman who the guys know they aren't seriously attracted to. Humm...maybe the people at BET or TV One can muster up a dating show. Cheers to luv no matter what!
All of these girls are nothing short of ridiculous--fighting, crying, groping and slobbing over a man they barely know and who could care less. It's all an attempt to hopefully get famous and make the relationship last long enough te get their 15 minutes of fame. It's good trashy, ridiculous, mindless, drama filled fun..if you think anything other than that then I have some land I'd like to sell you...
I think she wanted to be on the show to get her name out their isn't see a model? Then after she heard Emily's story she felt bad about being there and decided to leave. Good for her!
what a woman! i"ll miss her, she realized she could not connect with brad and she didnt want to take away from the other women! michelle should walk out!if he picks her he will be in a life of hell!she needs to go NOW! Brad GET michelle the hell out of there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't like Madison at first. But last night I realized she has a very big heart and I respect what she done.
I have the utmost respect for her, and her decision to leave the show...
What is with the fangs? Why would she CHOOSE to look like a dog?
I dont know why they even go on the show if they are going to quit
At least they quit putting black women on this show just to be PC-none of these guys are ever going to pick them.
she was a weird one anyone, I wont miss her.
