Slow and steady wins the race? Married at First Sight‘s three season 4 couples head to the bedroom on their wedding nights and decide whether to have sex in the Tuesday, August 9, episode, as seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive sneak peek.
The FYI unscripted series’ preview clip shows Heather, a 32-year-old flight attendant, telling the camera that she’s not ready to get physical with her new husband, Derek.
“At this point, I certainly have no intentions of having sex on my wedding night,” she says. “He makes me feel safe and comfortable, and that’s a really good thing, but it’s not that ‘I cant wait to jump your bones’ type of feeling.”
For his part, Derek — a 35-year-old account executive — sounds ready to seal the deal. “I know that my wife is conservative to a certain extent, so I think tonight will be best for us to get to know each other a little better and keep focusing on that and just play things out as they come,” he says to the camera.
Meanwhile, Nick and Sonia both throw back a glass of whiskey in the clip before heading to the bedroom.
“Feeling calm about the situation because we’re getting along and everything as it is,” Nick tells the camera. “I still don’t have any anticipation about consummating the marriage at all.”
