Don’t do today what you can put off until tomorrow! Tom worries about a big secret that he’s keeping from his new bride, Lillian, during their otherwise relaxing honeymoon in Married at First Sight‘s Tuesday, August 23, episode, as seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive sneak peek.
The FYI series’ preview clip shows the newlyweds riding a zip line through a jungle in Jamaica, as Tom acknowledges to the camera that he is dreading having to tell his wife that he lives in his vehicle.
“At some point, I do have to tell Lily about the bus,” the 28-year-old yacht interior specialist admits. “It’s hard to be vulnerable, and for now, I just want to have fun with my wife.”
“I’m very happy that the experts matched me with somebody that is also adventurous and likes to have fun and likes to do exciting things,” he continues. “She’s fitting exactly what I want and what I need.”
For her part, Lillian tells the camera that she is developing serious affection for Tom. “I am definitely having strong feelings for Tom, and I do believe that yeah, I am falling for him, and I do see myself falling deep in love with him eventually,” the 24-year-old realtor says.
Last week, the pair consummated their marriage, after which they started bickering in bed after Tom said that people shouldn’t place high value on owning things like expensive cars. This bothered Lillian because she knew he had recently seen her fancy new ride, although Tom hadn’t realized he would hurt her and was just trying to broach the topic of his living situation.
