Not a good thing.
Martha Stewart's famous face was marred with nine stiches to her lip after a scary skirmish with Francesca, her French bulldog.
The domestic diva, 69, showed her scars on Thursday's Martha. "First disfiguring mark on my face. Ay ei ei!"
Writing in her blog, Stewart explained that the incident occurred in her Westchester County home Tuesday night.
Stewart was due back in NYC that night for a show taping — so she "leaned down to whisper goodbye to a dozing Francesca."
Wrong move! "I must have startled her because she bolted upright with such force that she hit me in the face like a boxing glove hitting an opponent's face," Stewart says of her pooch.
"I was entirely startled and my neck snapped back. I felt a bit of whiplash as blood gushed forth from my split lip. Frannie was as upset as I was and cowered in her bed."
The lifestyle mogul then rushed to a nearby emergency room to get treated — and posted 34 pics of the ordeal on her blog.
"I looked pretty good for being in terrible agony!" she wrote.
The injury doesn't mean Stewart will be getting any work done. "I'll be alright facially. I'm not rushing to get a facelift any time soon!"
