This bit deserves its own award! Jimmy Kimmel brought his popular Mean Tweets segment back during Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday, February 25, and in honor of this weekend’s Oscars 2016, it was a star-studded movie edition.
Starring celebs like George Clooney, Cate Blanchett and Kevin Costner, there’s no denying this episode of Mean Tweets is one of the most A-list yet, but it’s also one of the most hilarious!
Clooney took his criticisms pretty much in stride: “If that gross ratty old man George Clooney can find a girl … you regular men out there in the twitterverse must be drowning in p—y,” he read, looking confused.
But Eddie Redmayne and Susan Sarandon snagged the prizes for Best Reaction to a Mean Tweet Ever. Redmayne’s looks were the subject of the social media meanness: “Eddie Redmayne looks like someone tried to erase his nose but couldn’t completely. I also think he looks perpetually dehydrated,” his tweet read.
Sarandon’s brought mention of her cleavage. “Tired of susan sarandon having her big fat saggy boobs in my face,” her message read. Collapsing into giggles, the feisty 69-year-old actress smiled right into the camera. “Oh, you wish,” she replied.
Kevin Costner‘s tweet was funny. “Kevin Costner is a boring mothaf–ka wit some long ass movies,” the star read out.
And Emily Blunt was quite pleased with the declaration that she has a “purdy mouth” until she read the less pleasant addition that the tweeter would “like to poop in” it!
