Oh, say it isn't so! It looks like this season is the last for Melissa McCarthy's CBS series, Mike & Molly.

Rondi Reed, who plays McCarthy's mother-in-law on the sitcom, announced in a Facebook post on Wednesday, Dec. 9, that the show has been canceled.

"Before you hear it elsewhere (and some already have) this is the Final and 6th Season of MIKE & MOLLY on CBS," she wrote. "It is also a shortened season (13 episodes) after the announced full renewal of 22 episodes back in March by the network. We are done taping as of January 27th 2016 and I am not sure exactly when/if the episodes will all be aired. The network has its reasons, and I will not get into a debate, discussion, or campaign to get them to change their minds."

Reed wrote that producers had explored other options to keep the show on the air, but they didn't work out. She added that the cast has known about Mike & Molly's demise "for a few weeks."

"I remain extremely grateful to have been a part of this and to have worked with a fabulous bunch of folks over the years," she added.

The series, which launched in 2010, also stars Billy Gardell as McCarthy's husband, Reno Wilson, Swoosie Kurtz, and Katy Mixon.

CBS did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
