Exclusive: Michael Jackson's Kids to Appear in A&E Reality Show

The Jacksons are at odds over the inclusion of Michael Jackson's three children in an upcoming A&E reality show about the famous family, Us Weekly reports in its latest issue (on newsstands now).
A source tells Us Weekly the buzzed-about program will include Michael's kids -- Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, 7 -- though not everyone's happy about it.

Eldest sister Rebbie, 59, who has refused to be in the series (called The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty, tentatively set to air in December), "feels Michael would spin in his grave if he knew his kids would be on this show."

While Janet, 43, is on board, mom Katherine "is just going along with things," the source continues.
Still, one of the creators of the program -- which will be either five one-hour episodes or 10 half-hour episodes -- says the family shines on the series.

"We have 23 cast members with the last name Jackson," executive producer Jodi Gomes tells Us Weekly. "They've done a great job opening up about losing a brother." (A Jackson family rep couldn't be reached.)

Michael always shared his children with photos and small interviews, but only in a controlled enviroment, especially when he did not feel as though they were in any danger of the papparzi hounding them down.
I think it will be ok for special appearance because can you imagine being with the rest the cousin(Jermaine, Tito,&Jackie's kids and be excluded once its seen. Trust me I am a true Michael Fan, and anybody knows that if his kids wanted to be in this little production, he would be supportive. They are fasinating the whole family, so if the whole family is filming they should ask each of Michael's children if they wanted to participate. If they didn't I wouldn't force it, but if they did along with the rest of the family sure. Family Support will be center around them during this time. It's ok people. If my family had the opportunity to be together in a film, I would want to join in.
DON'T DO IT! Do everything that Michael was so against. Stand up Jackson women. Keep those kids and u women off this nonsense of a show. The guys are just trying to get a come back on Michaels talent.
when i seen tha ama's i was happy for taylor swift to win but i was also sad, even though michael is gone, it still dosent mean he's gone in our hearts, he will always have a part in my heart and i think he should of won it, we still want to remind him of being the greatist entertainer that ever lived.
please leave those kids out of it, Michael did everything he could to keep them kids out of camera's, i think i would understand if they were a little older but they are not ready for this! they just got done crying their hearts out for their daddy, and i think it would be a little heart breaking for me to see them cry on tv. Michael wanted his mother to take care of those children! not anyone else, strictly his mother. And i think it would be right for her to make the right choice! and if i was her, i would definatly say no to that!
i just saw the ama's last night and i am so mad at talor for winning i know i shouldn't be she deserved it but i wanted michael to win so bad that it makes me angry that she's the one who won because, michael deserved it even more than she did besides i can't help how i feel

i think michael was finally letting the kids come out in the open with out mask... but 2 weeks ago they where with their nanny and the news ran right into their car .... these poor kids will never have a normail life ... the news will be after them all their lives .... but i would love to see them on this show , i am a michael fan. for 40 years... i dont think he would be mad... he told them they could do what ever they want to do... and pairs wanted to be just like dad .... you go girl....

This show was taped at least six months before MJ passed, and if you know anything about contracting and how shows are made, the deal was agreed upon long before that. If you saw the special that aired on ABC a while back, they showed clips which included MJ. No one can predict death, and as we all know his death was untimely. This family is an entertaining family, that is what they do, that is what they know. If we all stop being critics of things we don't understand, then this world would be a whole lot better. If you are a MJ fan, then do him a favor, watch the show because he would have wanted you to. Trust me, they understand what entertainment is and know that the show will serve its purpose of entertaining. Everyone needs to put down their â??hater aideâ?? and relax.
I do not think there is any reason for the kids to have to hide anymore. The reason people were quriors about the kids was because their father was Michael Jackson. Now that he is deceased, they wont have to hide from the media anymore.
Usually people do not pay much attention to deceased or living stars children. I think people will tune in at first to see the kids but it will fade quickly.
wow...i can't believe Katherine is going along with this, but maybe it will help the kids break out of their shells a little. Michael did a great job raising them, they seem like sweet kids, but it almost seems like he made them fear the real world. it's time they see more of it and are seen more in it. i just hope the family knows what they're doing. but i do have a feeling Michael would flip
