The party in the USA is over! Miley Cyrus slammed Donald Trump on social media on Friday, March 25, for his recent Twitter post comparing the appearance of Ted Cruz‘s wife, Heidi, to that of his own wife, Melania.
Trump, 69, received flak after retweeting a split photo of Heidi and Melania on Wednesday, March 23. Text on the photo reads, “No need to ‘spill the beans’ the images are worth a thousand words.” Cruz responded to the tweet later that day at an event by referring to the GOP presidential front-runner as a “sniveling coward.”
Cyrus, 23, joined the fray by posting an Instagram screed on Friday that took Trump to task for comparing the women’s looks.
“Trump can’t stop won’t stop saying stupid ass sexist s‑‑t!!!!” she wrote, referencing her 2013 hit “We Can’t Stop.” She continued, “Comparing two women! Are you f‑‑king kidding! We will not allow you to destroy everything we have overcome as women!”
“It’s absolute insanity that this has gone on this long and far!” she added about Trump’s campaign. “Wake me up from this nightmare someone PLEASE!”
This is hardly the first time that the Voice season 10 adviser has posted about her distaste for the real estate mogul. Earlier this month, she shared a photo to Instagram of herself crying after Trump won seven states in the Super Tuesday primaries. In the caption, she called herself “scared and sad.”
