Putting it all out there! Miley Cyrus decided against wearing a shirt for her Wednesday, Aug. 26 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! — instead choosing to wear some sparkly heart pasties to cover her nipples.
But while Kimmel, 47, was knocked off guard by his guest's lack of attire, Cyrus admitted that was partly the reason she enjoys going near-naked. And the “Wrecking Ball” singer revealed that her lack of shirt once managed to make Paul McCartney feel more uneasy about meeting her, than she was about meeting him.
"I did the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and I saw Paul McCartney," Cyrus told Kimmel. "I saw him not knowing how to talk to me. I don't know really how to talk to Paul McCartney, so it made me very comfortable because it made him more uncomfortable," she admitted. "So sometimes it's like a kind of nice convo ice breaker!"
Kimmel admitted he was struggling to keep his eyes focused entirely on her face, and, as the father of a 23-year-old daughter himself, the show host said he was wondering what her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, made of his daughter's nudist tendencies.
“My dad's cool," the 22-year-old singer insisted. "He'd probably maybe rather I didn't have my tits out the whole time," she admitted, "but he'd rather me have my tits out and be a good person, than have my shirt on, and be a bitch. I see a lot of people with their clothes on, and they're kind of a--holes," she added. "And I don't know if it's the clothes that turn them into a--holes. When you've got your tits out people are already kind of judging you. I feel better this way."
Despite baring all during her interview with Kimmel, earlier in the day Cyrus had put on a whole lot of clothing, including a brown wig, to disguise herself as an Australian reporter, and go out onto the streets of Los Angeles to find out what people thought about her hosting the MTV VMA Awards on Sunday, Aug. 30.
Her disguise fooled most of the folk she found on Hollywood Boulevard, including one member of the public who told her undercover self, "I think she's starving for attention, she's missing something somewhere. The whole fabric of America's falling apart and she's not doing anything to help!"
