Negan Warns ‘Things Have Changed’ in ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Teaser!

He’s back! Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) makes an epic return in The Walking Dead’s new season 7 teaser, which was released on Tuesday, September 6.

“There are rules,” the leader of the Saviors is heard saying in the 30-second clip above. “You earn what you take.” His voice-over warning is placed over scenes of the villain walking about town, swinging a baseball bat.

Next, the preview shows zombies stumbling in broad daylight spliced between quick views of car chases and gruesome fistfights. “Things have changed,” Negan continues to say. “Whatever you had going for you, that’s over.”

The sneak peek concludes with a smiley shot of the character ominously boasting, “Thing is, I am everywhere.”

Back in July, Greg Nicotero – who directed Dead’s season 7 premiere — promised that viewers will find out who doesn’t survive Negan’s swings. “Yes, who was at the receiving end of Negan’s bat will be revealed in the first episode,” he told Entertainment Weekly.

Aside from delving deeper into the Negan narrative, producer Gale Anne Hurd has assured fans that they will learn a great deal about the entire Walking Dead universe.

“That world is expanding; it’s getting more complex,” she told reporters earlier this summer during San Diego’s Comic-Con. “We’re going to find more people we haven’t met before, living in the apocalypse and figuring out how to survive.”
