There was nowhere for him to go! James Corden made the most of the fact that Nick Jonas was strapped into the rear seat of his SUV during a hilarious Carpool Karaoke session with fellow musician Demi Lovato, quizzing the musical hunk on his star-studded love life and his famous purity ring.
The 23-year-old hunk (most recently linked to Kate Hudson) squirmed uncomfortably in the back seat as Lovato and Corden had a blast picking apart his former relationships and gossiping about his love life.
“You dated Joe (Jonas),” Corden said to Lovato. “You dated Selena Gomez,” he continued to Nick. “You two never…..?”
“Never!” they both replied.
But while Lovato, 23, only revealed that she’s more into the older man, she had no problem going on to dish on her pal’s love life to help Corden, 37, get up to speed.
“It was Miley [Cyrus], then Selena, then back with Miley,” explained Lovato.
“Thank you Demi,” replied Jonas, dryly.
Corden wanted more clarification.
“It was Cyrus, Gomez, Cyrus, then Gomez then I don’t know what else happened,” Lovato continued.
“It was all during the time you’re wearing your purity ring?” asked Corden. “When did you decide to ditch the ring?”
“I had a real relationship with an adult, and I fell in love actually, and I decided it was time to take the purity ring off,” replied Jonas, earnestly. “Are we going to keep talking about my dating life?”
Thankfully for him, the answer was no, and the Carpool Karaoke session suddenly got more musical, with the trio teaming up to blast out renditions of Lovato’s “Heart Attack,” Jonas’ “Close,” and DNCE’s “Cake By the Ocean.”
The musical gang then decided to pull up to the sidewalk and test out their new band, performing “Confident” with Corden on the drums (or plastic buckets), Jonas on the guitar and Lovato singing.
