Exclusive: NJ Housewife Dina: I Quit the Show "99.9 Percent" Because of Danielle

Dina Manzo shocked fans Monday night when she announced she is leaving the Bravo hit The Real Housewives of New Jersey -- and in the new Us Weekly (out Wednesday) she opens up exclusively about her shocking decision.
"I would say 99.9 percent is because of Danielle [Staub], but the other .1 percent was drama created by her," she tells Us Weekly.

For Manzo, the final straw came on the May 31 episode (taped last year), when Staub, 47, trailed by an ex-con bodyguard, showed up at the Manzo-owned catering hall The Brownstone for a charity event and caused a ruckus that ended with Staub’s escort hurling a gay slur at Manzo’s nephew.

"That whole night at The Brownstone just put me over the edge," Manzo, 38, tells Us Weekly. "Danielle became all we ever talked about! I wanted to film some fun stuff. I thought I signed on for a nice family show and it really turned in a different direction."

Staub, she adds, "will make up whatever lie she can to hurt you, and it’s dangerous. Who wants to be associated with that?"

Danielle needs to change her behavior of acting so sleazy and hanging out with thugs. She's got 2 gorgeous sweet daughters and this can't be good for them. They have to be embarassed. I hope for their sake she stops. Love the show girls.

Kudos to you Dina and leaving the show. Still don't understand why all of you got involved in this reality stuff to begin with anyway!!! Yes, I watch, but must tell you, after I do, I am so grateful I have the life that I have, a educated husband who not only is a medical professional but a residential real estate entepreneur who strives each and every day to continually help others. I love Teresa and Caroline but I don't like Danielle. I'm sorry Dina had to leave the show but she needs to do what's best for her. Danielle talks about others but she is worse than they are so she needs to shut up. I don't think the stripping sex tape thing even compares to whatever the others do if they are doing bad things. Especially when you have kids.

This woman is self absorbed just as her entire family. Inflated opinions of themselves. Why did she feel the need to stage a big break off with Danille? Muster up what little class you have and simply write or call saying she no longer can have nor wants a friendship/relationship with her. No public linching. I am happy she is off the show. SHe can now help her sister with her daughter, the run away who calls her mom a witch (sp)...something I agree with. Danille makes big mistakes but gang bullying is wrong.
