"She's a wonderful girl. Someone had to do it...it was a tough gig, but somebody had to do it," he joked. "So many people are angry at me."
A rep for the couple confirmed their engagement in late August.

Krasinski, 29, says he had a feeling it was time to propose this summer after about 10 months of dating.
"So many people say, 'You know when you know,' and it's true," Krasinski said. "It's all true."

Krasinski hit the carpet solo. Where was Blunt, 26?
"She's up in Toronto," he said. "Her film [romantic drama The Young Victoria] is closing the film festival."

Tell Us What You Think
17I love Emily, she's a gret actress! Sadly i have to agree with some of the posts here, the whole thing seem oh too soon and i think she's on a rebound.
K, you're an idiot. Why do you assume that "the kids will be gorgeous"? Because all women want kids, right? It must hurt to be so dumb.
Not too young, just not long enough. He seems like he thinks he should be settling down and they just don't seem well suited. Hollywood marriages are so fickle I think you need more time before knowing.
that's a perfect age to get married. 40??? yeah because they want to be in a nursing home when their kids graduate from high school...
Since when is almost 30 too young to get engaged? This relationship kind of took me by surprise, but they are known to be very good people so I wish them the best and bet the kids will be gorgeous!
They're not too young to get married...that's a good age especially if you want to have kids and actually be alive when they go to elementary! haha Some people just grow up different...sure, I am not for people getting married younger than 25...anyway, it's sad to see John is off the market! He's cute! :( haha
this is directed to any and all negative posts - Emily dated Michael Buble for what seemed like forever and they broke up, no engagement or marriage. Now she has found a great guy who, yes she has only been dating for a short time, but she is happy and engaged...when one door shuts another one always opens. Glad they found each other....hard to find that one special person in this crazy world, so more power to them both. It will definitely last.
So happy for both of them. They make a great couple. They both seem to be very happy. Congratulations to them both.
40? That is old.
Geez, you guys are so negative! Who cares if they only dated for 10 months. My parents dated for 6 months (long distance) before getting married and they just had their 33rd wedding anniversary. So back off. It can work!
Too young to get married at 29 and 26? If everyone waited until they were 40 to settle down, get married and have babies there wouldn't be a lot of babies in the world. I'm 28 and know myself just fine, just because it took you 40 years doesn't mean it takes everyone that long!
29 and 26 is WAY too young to get married. You don't even know who you are until 40. I wish them the best, but won't be surprised to hear a divorce down the line in 3-5 years.
i frickin love John!! and Emily seems like a sweetheart, wish them all the best!
John is her rebound guy (from Michael Buble) and that seldom works out.
I thought it was too soon but good luck to them.

Like them both a lot, but if they're together in ten years, I'll be shocked. Think he's trying too hard to settle down like his Office character. Ten months is too short if you see each other every day. How much time have they actually spent together? Wish them both happiness and luck. Just don't see this marriage lasting forever.
