Every single one of your favorite Oscar nominees in one frame! The 87th Academy Awards nominees mixed and mingled this week at the annual Oscars luncheon at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, where they posed for one collective class photo.
The image is pretty awkward and funny, beginning with the hulking life-size golden Oscar statue standing front and center. While it appears that most of the nominees are wedged together, Robert Duvall comfortably sits spread-eagle beside the Oscar figurine (and yes, his eyes are closed).
Meanwhile, Whiplash Best Supporting Actor nominee J.K. Simmons told Entertainment Tonight that the first person to be called up for the photo was none other than American Sniper director Clint Eastwood. "Let's make Clint stand still for half an hour," Simmons joked of the Hollywood legend, 84.
In the pic, Eastwood (wearing a blue shirt and dark suit) stands stiff in the back row, which also includes Best Actress hopeful Marion Cotillard in a bold dress, a purple-clad Oprah Winfrey (producer and star of Selma), and Laura Dern in a printed top.
In the row directly in front of Eastwood is Best Actor nom Bradley Cooper, wearing a gray suit and standing tall behind a man with a voluminous head of curly hair.
Close to Best Supporting Actress contender Dern is her Wild costar and Best Actress nominee Reese Witherspoon, who looks perfectly polished in a white dress. The star gives her trademark dimpled smirk as she looks up — somewhat bored — at the camera. Also wearing white to the event was another Best Actress nominee Rosamund Pike of Gone Girl, cloaked in a peplum number in the right side of the photo.
Amidst the sea of black, navy, and stone-toned suits, Best Supporting Actress nominee Emma Stone pops in the front row in a striped shirt and a sheer black and white polka-dot skirt. And where was host Neil Patrick Harris during this particular set?
