Pete Wentz Taps Into Charity Projects on Fall Out Boy Break

On February 22, the U.S. Fund for Unicef announced that none other than my buddy Pete Wentz was named the national spokesperson for the 2010 Unicef Tap Project (Sarah Jessica Parker, Lucy Liu and Joel and Benji Madden have also had the post in years past).
Basically, the initiative allows peeps to donate $1 or more for the tap water they get for free at participating restaurants to provide clean water to kids around the world (deaths from bad water are the second highest cause of preventable childhood deaths). Glad to know the bassist is putting his time to good use now that Fall Out Boy is taking a break.
Meanwhile, a loyal Ian In Your Ear reader sent in this link to Wentz's guffaw-inducing slip up on the SOS Help For Haiti telethon. At least everyone in the room was on the phone so didn't seem to notice! Hey, isn't that Fonzworth Bentley again?

Zero comments? Zero comments? WTF? I guess I shouldn't have married one of the Simpson sisters. Now everyone connects me with the creepy Simpson family. Career in the toilet. Simpson ick all over. What was I thinking?
