The pair have been anxiously awaiting the fate of their passion project in the six months since the first season finale aired. Though the 30-minute program about two best friends raising a baby together had positive critical reception, it didn’t pull in an impressive viewership. It did, however, have some promising On Demand numbers.

Either way, Parham and St. Clair, whose first show Best Friends Forever didn’t make it past the first season on NBC, are overjoyed at the chance to get a sophomore season.

“So proud to announce #PlayingHouseSeason2 ! We are still pinching ourselves. But you made it happen!” Parham tweeted.
