‘The Powerpuff Girls’ Revival’s Sneak Peek Reveals Their Killer Moves: ‘Don’t Call Me Princess!’

Buttercup, Blossom and Bubbles are back! The new Powerpuff Girls revival series launches on Cartoon Network in April, with the network releasing the animated show’s first preview clip on Thursday, February 11.

The spot shows the adorable crime-fighting trio clashing with an evil lumberjack (somewhere, Paul Bunyan is silently weeping) who threatens to destroy a hippie commune.

“If you’re looking for a fight, ol’ Buttercup can satisfy your need for a beat-down,” Buttercup warns the flannel-wearing foe.

Their enemy then makes the fatal mistake of referring to Buttercup as a “princess,” to which she fires back, “Did you just call me princess? Don’t call me princess!”

The heroes’ first Cartoon Network iteration, which turned the wisecracking threesome into a national phenomenon, signed off in 2005 after six seasons.
