A club classic, "Pump Up the Jam" by Technotronic has been heard on the dance floor since 1989. For their Levi's Pioneer Sessions version, electro-pop Colombian band Bomba Estereo infused their take on the track with bi-lingual lyrics and South American beats.
The band's latest album, Blow Up, features high-energy music and lots of rhythm. Singer Liliana Saumet provides upbeat vocals and a Colombian sound while producer Simon Mejia brings big bass and the modern electronic productions heard in the Latin and rock and pop songs.
Other artists scheduled to contribute music to Levi's Pioneer Sessions include singer Jason Mraz and R&B artist John Legend and the Roots.
