Pretty Little Liars promised fans a time jump, and that's precisely what season 6's winter premiere delivered. Picking up five years from where the August finale left off, the Liars reunited in Rosewood and shared what life has been like for them in this post-"A" world. But it wasn't all sunshine and happy-hour sessions at the newly established Radley Hotel.

Once more, these girls found themselves at the center of a brand-new mystery with deadly consequences. The only question is: Who's to blame? Welcome back to the madness, everyone. Let's dig in!

Judgment Day

Time may pass, but some things never change. So when Alison (Sasha Pieterse) called the Liars back to Rosewood for a favor, they came running. But not entirely in the way Ali thought they would. Determined to get Charlotte (Vanessa Ray) released from the hospital, Ali pleaded for her friends to say that they were no longer afraid of her and therefore supported her freedom.

But while Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Hanna (Ashley Benson) and even Mona (Janel Parrish) all told the court what Ali wanted to hear, Aria (Lucy Hale) was the only one who spoke the truth and admitted that she's still terrified. Unfortunately, though, her testimony apparently didn't matter because just a few hours later, Ali sent them all a text with the great news: Charlotte had been released.

The Ex Factor

Of course, it wouldn't be PLL without a little boy drama thrown into the mix. While Ezra (Ian Harding) is struggling to come to terms with what happened to Nicole (Rebecca Breeds) in South Africa (she was dragged off by revolutionaries during an attack and hasn't been seen since), Toby (Keegan Allen) has been busy building a house from scratch and rocking some mighty fine construction garb. (Seriously, was anyone else getting some major Noah Calhoun vibes?)

Neither guy is currently with their former lady loves, sending our Ezria and Spoby sorrows into overdrive. That being said, something is definitely going on between Spencer and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), who's been taking up residence in the Hastings barn. Looks like those Spaleb rumors may be true after all. (Sorry, Team Haleb fans!)

The Fall Of Charlotte

After a night of partying together, the Liars received a phone call from Ali the next morning, informing them that Charlotte has gone missing. She arrived at Ali's house the previous night, they stayed up happily talking for hours and then went to bed. But the next morning, Charlotte was nowhere to be found. That is, until the police discovered her body at the bottom of the church bell tower. And while the girls originally assumed she had committed suicide, the autopsy report proved otherwise. Charlotte was already dead before the fall, officially making her death a homicide.

Clearly, someone wanted Charlotte released so they could kill her, but who? Sara Harvey (Dre Davis) was looking pretty suspicious at the funeral, and next week's promo teased camera footage of Aria leaving the hotel on the night in question. Did they play a part in Charlotte's death? Who killed her and why? Break out those suspect lists, folks. This one's going to be a doozy.
