Ramona Singer is not afraid to mince words when it comes to her Real Housewives of New York City costar LuAnn de Lesseps and her parenting skills.
Season 4 concluded with no-nonsense Singer, 55, slamming her costar for being a "weekend mom," insinuating that she neglected her two children to spend time with boyfriend Jacques Azoulay and when season 5 picks up Monday, the women are still at odds over Singer's crack.
"You know you crossed the line with me, about my relationship with the kids," de Lesseps, 47, seethes in the above preview clip after pulling Singer aside to address the "elephant in the room."
When Singer instantly goes on the defense, fellow Housewife Sonja Morgan tries to intervene, reminding the women that they all vowed to "take the high road" going into the new season. Retorts de Lesseps: "We are taking the high road and I'm taking the higher road."
As the clip shows, Singer fails to realize how her dig stung de Lesseps. "LuAnn always wants me to say I'm sorry, but why do I have to be sorry for something that is really true?" she cracks. "LuAnn is not going to be happy until I give her my blood."
Singer and de Lesseps are the only remaining original cast members taking part in the Bravo hit's fifth season. Newbies Aviva Drescher, Carole Radziwill and Heather Thomson will join Singer, de Lesseps and Morgan for the new batch of episodes, which come eight months after Bravo axed Cindy Barshop, Alex McCord, Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon.
The Real Housewives of New York City airs Monday at 9 p.m. (EST) on Bravo.
