The 30-year-old reality star dethroned the reigning champ, Randy Orton, in an epic battle. It was the first championship title for Mizanin, who appeared on the 2001 Back to New York season and in several Real World/Road Rules Challenges.

The Miz isn't the only Real World alum to come out on top this year: Boston's Sean Duffy won a seat in Wisconsin's Congressional district in November.

Tell Us What You Think
9Mike Mizanin is not now, nor will he ever be a credible champion. As the US Champion, he rarely defended his title unless he was forced too, as tag team champion he relied on the Big Show and hid behind him a lot. Now he hides behind is so called "protege" Alex Riley who was recently arrested in Tampa for DUI. This is someone the WWE wants people to look up too? Really? Really? REALLY?
fight fair
You all DO realise that outcomes are decided beforehand and matches are planned out before they get into the ring? Orton knew what was coming.
He is an idiot, he can never fight fair. He has to cheat to win. At least Randy Orton has won his titles fair and square. They need to get rid of him
Was never epic Randy well should still be champ! Miz is no where near ready to be champ! Rubbish!! Hope Randy gets the title back asap!!!
Epic? Randy Orton was ambushed, injured, and had just survived one title defense. Nothing epic about that match. And yes, I'm certain we're all aware all other MIB winners also tood advantage of a similar situation, and I for one, had a problem with em all.
Crissy did you have a Problem when Kane, Edge, Punk or any other winner cashed in? they all did it at the PERFECT time. Bryan I think they meant to say First World Title
the Champ was injured...so he took advantage and cashed in his briefcase. yeah, he's a real winner.
This is not his first WWE Title. He has won the WWE Tag Team Championship twice, World Tag Team Championship twice, United States Championship twice, and the Unified Tag Team Championship. This is however his first WWE Championship reign. Get your facts right US Mag.
