Bend and snap… and back to Delta Nu! Reese Witherspoon stopped by Watch What Happens Live on Thursday, May 7, and acted out a scene from her 2001 classic Legally Blonde with her Hot Pursuit costar Sofia Vergara and host Andy Cohen.
“You have fantasized about being best friends with America’s favorite Gemini vegetarian, Elle Woods,” Cohen told viewers. “Well, this girl’s dreams are about to come true. Here’s what, it’s time for Club House Play House. We will be performing a scene from Legally Blonde.”
Cohen then pulled out a wig and said he would play Elle’s BFF Margot, while Vergara would play her other bestie Serena. The exact moment from the flick that they were to act out? When Elle announces to her pals that she’s planning to go to law school. (As recalled in the movie, the West Coast sorority girl studied arduously for the LSATs and submitted a bikini-clad video “essay” to the admissions panel, all for the sake of winning back the love of her life Warner.)
Witherspoon was 24 years old when she acted in that film — and at 39 on Thursday, the actress-producer proved that she still has it when they reenacted the infamous “road trip!!!” moment.
The star also discussed the possibility of a Legally Blonde 3. “I don’t know, yeah. Somebody pitched me an idea the other day,” Witherspoon revealed, adding that the premise of the flick would be something along the lines of Legally Blonde: Behind Bars. “Somebody thought it would be really funny if Elle went to jail,” she noted.
During her stop by WWHL, Witherspoon also played Plead the Fifth, where she was asked for her honest opinion about Ben Affleck‘s penis in Gone Girl (a movie that she produced), and at what age she lost her virginity.
“I mean, that scene went so fast that I didn’t see it!” the bubbly blonde said after laughing for 10 seconds. “I wasn’t complaining… it’s great. Congratulations, Jen Garner.”
As for when Witherspoon lost her virginity? An indignant Vergara replied on behalf of her laughing Hot Pursuit costar. “She doesn’t have to answer that, she has kids!” the Modern Family bombshell said.
Witherspoon followed up with a wink and simple comment: “At a good age.”
