Based on memoirs by blogger Julie Powell (Amy Adams) and chef extraordinaire Julia Child (Meryl Streep), the flick bounces between the women as they turn their love of food into a slice o' fame. While funny and fresh, the movie doesn't build to a crescendo since the pair never meet. Still, expect another Oscar nom for Streep, who's delicious as an eccentric early version of Martha Stewart.
