In this bright, bouncy Shakespeare take-off, animated gnomes tell the tale of the classic romantic tragedy. It begins when the blue-hatted Gnomeo (voice of James McAvoy) falls for redcapped Juliet (Emily Blunt), which brings their two feuding families to the brink of apocalypse. The movie is packed with puns ("What's in a gnome?" Juliet asks) -- and that gets old. But the vocal talent tickles, from Ozzy Osbourne's ditzy deer to Patrick Stewart's "Bill Shakespeare."
