Twelve years of unsolved kidnappings in deceptively pleasant (and fictional) Haplin, Minnesota, provide the eerie backdrop for this bizarre, offbeat new drama. In the premiere, a murder shocks the colorful locals, including lawman Tommy (Geoff Stults), grieving dad John (Steven Weber) and two mysterious newcomers (played by Lauren German and Sam Neill). Has the dreaded abductor struck again? Despite a standout cast, pretty locale and gripping moments, viewers may find that question, as well as this show, a little ho-hum. (ABC, 10 P.M.)
