When the wife and daughter of a Philadelphia man (Gerard Butler) get murdered, the DA (Jamie Foxx) cuts one felon a deal to convict the other. Still angry a decade later, Butler's character becomes a vigilante and targets the killers and the lawyers and judge involved in the case. While the opening is repulsively violent and the ending neatly sentimental, the meaty middle delivers a tense cat-and-mouse thriller. A buff Butler offers a wily performance. (Anchor Bay Entertainment, $30)
