Us Rating: ***

In terms of laughs-perminute, this Emmy winner racks up the numbers. Among the best moments: Awkward dad Phil (the fearlessly funny Ty Burrell) tries another round of sexy role-play with wife Claire (Julie Bowen), and granddad Jay (Ed O’Neill) has a really bad Botox experience. Not every gag is a home run, but the underlying messages on aging and supportiveness are sweet. And the wit can sparkle, as when airheadish daughter Haley (Sarah Hyland) declares, "Graduation is a celebration of being done with thinking!" (Fox, $50)
