Us Rating: ****

Taylor Swift has again achieved the near impossible. The wunderkind, 20, follows up her second CD, Fearless -- 2009's bestseller and winner of the Album of the Year Grammy -- with a third bundle of melodic, cathartic country-pop. This time, she wields her songwriting pen at ex Taylor Lautner (the apologetic weeper "Back to December"), her critics (the brisk "Mean") and -- oh, yeah -- Kanye West, on the forgiving "Innocent." It's another unrestrained grand slam. (Big Machine Records)
