Real Housewives of Atlanta Recap: Sheree Explodes About Her Ex, Kim Flees in Tears

So much for fun in the sun! “We came to Miami to kick it,” Kenya Moore said on the Sunday, December 13, episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Then she added, “I don’t mean literally,” referencing the events of the previous episode, when Cynthia Bailey kicked Porsha Williams during an argument.

“¡Bienvenido a Miami!”

The post-brawl relaxation trip started well. The ladies bantered over whether room assignments should be made with consideration given to the more famous cast members. Ultimately, they decided Kandi Burruss should have the master bedroom, due to her pregnancy.

“She’s sleeping for two,” Porsha conceded.

Shamea Morton welcomed the ladies when they pulled up to the house. “¡Bienvenido a Miami!” she gushed from the stoop in nothing more than a leopard-print bikini, prompting Kenya to sneer, “Porsha had the idea to send Shimmy Shimmy Cocoa Puff ahead of our arrival, so I guess she was good for something.”

Beyond Ms. Cocoa Puff, there was another noteworthy addition to the group: a woman named Tammy, who was seen by the housemates as “quirky and weird” but harmless. Little did they know that her appearance would spark the most drama in the episode!

Dinner Drama

While everyone got dressed up to go out for a nice dinner, Kandi told the camera that pregnancy had made her even more impatient and hungry than usual, and she was tired of waiting for her friends to eat.

By dinnertime, Kandi was probably regretting her hurry to get there. After Kim Fields and Cynthia made small talk about their husbands, the conversation took a turn.

“Tammy, I heard you have a problem with me,” said Sheree Whitfield with no preamble, going on to say that she’d heard Tammy slept with her ex-husband, Bob Whitfield.

Tammy did an excellent job of looking confused by the accusation while Kim wondered aloud if they, as “grown-ass women,” were really talking about something so immature.

“There is nothing about Bob that I am attracted to!” insisted Tammy. But that wasn’t enough to silence Sheree. “He did mention your name,” she countered. “He definitely mentioned your name.”

Suddenly, the women realized there was a key element of the argument missing: Who told Sheree that Tammy disliked her, anyway? Unsurprisingly, the answer was Kenya, who denied culpability, saying, “I was just giving information!”

Kim again voiced a rhetorical question: “Is there a difference between information and instigation?” Phaedra Parks seemed to know the answer, telling the camera, “Once a villain, always a villain.”

Boat Trip, Take Two!

Porsha, determined to “redo the boat trip,” chartered a yacht. Everyone came downstairs on Day 2 dressed to kill and ready to party. Well, almost everyone; Kandi, on doctor’s orders, stayed behind in the shade.

Speaking of shade, the moment they got on the boat and started taking shots, someone asked, “Where’s Kim?” only to be answered with, “Probably calling her husband and kids … again.”

It was true. While everyone danced and drank, Kim was nowhere to be found. At Seaspice Restaurant, she dissolved into tears over missing her family and was not the same wise woman she had been the previous night.

While the women rolled their eyes at Kim’s refusal to participate, Phaedra went to find and comfort her. When they got back, they found some young guys sitting at the table, who were eventually invited back to the house.

“Now that we are inviting all these strangers to the house, it’s a good time for me to switch from cocktails to water,” mused Cynthia, who turned out to be correct about the drama the guys would bring.

The episode leaves off with Glen, one of the guys, arguing with Kenya, and the preview for next week shows the situation with the men escalating to the point of security being called. So much for a relaxing trip, right?
