For better or worse. As Real Housewives of Orange County fans have seen this season, Shannon and David Beador are fighting to save their marriage in the wake of his affair. Next Monday, Oct. 5, they'll air their issues in a special interview with Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen — and only Us Weekly has an exclusive preview of the dramatic sit-down.

"I don't think that people understand the level of hurt," Shannon says in the clip. "I'm just gonna give an example, okay? When David left me for those two weeks, he would still come and pick the kids up from school. And one day he handed [our daughter] Stella his wedding ring. He said, 'Give this to your mother, I don't want it anymore.'"

The reality star, 51 — also mom to Adeline and Sophie — was understandably devastated. "That was a knife in my heart," she admits. "I thought, 'We're never gonna get back together.'"

Even so, she wasn't ready to let go. "I had to do some interview commentary for the show, and I wore his wedding ring," she recalls. "Because I wasn't going to give up."

Her resoluteness paid off. As the spouses told Us Weekly back in June, they're in a better, more honest place now.

David "agreeing to talk about everything on the the ultimate commitment as far as trust goes," the Housewife told Us. "He is not only accountable to me, but to everyone who watches."

She added that they hoped to be an example for other couples who might be going through similar things. "We want to give other couples hope that even if there is infidelity, or something devastating in a relationship, if you both work and make the effort and love each other, you can get out," Shannon said. "You can get through it and get through in a better position than you started out in."

Watch a preview of Shannon and David's one-on-one with Andy Cohen above, and tune in to the full interview on Monday, Oct. 5, at 11 p.m. ET on Bravo, after new episodes of RHOC and Ladies of London.
