Rock ‘n’ role! Elvis conspirators, that’s not the King… it’s Ron Livingston. The Office Space star was photographed on the Studio City, Calif. set of The Shangri-La Suite on Thursday, Mar. 6 — morphing into Elvis Presley in a speedo and bathrobe for the upcoming indie flick.
To summon Presley during his heftier, later years, Livingston, 46, appears to have gained weight for his role in the pseudo-biopic. While on set Thursday, the Boardwalk Empire actor sported Presley’s famous sideburns and shades while walking around with an open robe that revealed his gut.
Rosemarie DeWitt‘s handsome hubby later ditched the robe for a more covered-up look, where he was snapped in head-to-toe classic ’70s attire.
The movie, which takes place in 1974 — one year after Elvis and Priscilla divorced — also stars Twilight actress Ashley Greene, 27, as the King’s ex-wife. This particular Elvis story, however, is told from the perspective of two 20-something mental hospital patients (played by Emily Browning and Luke Grimes) who set out on a cross-country road trip in an elaborate plot to murder Presley in L.A. The original screenplay for the movie was co-written by director Eddie O’Keefe.
