The live-action comedy Arthur -- in which Brand romances costar Jennifer Garner -- netted $12.6 million for a modest second-place finish.
Placing third was Hanna, starring Atonement's Saoirse Ronan as a 16-year-old trained by her dad (Eric Bana) in remote Finland to become a Jason Bourne-style assassin. According to early Variety estimates Sunday, the flick -- driven heavily by late Friday and Saturday night showings -- brought in $12.3 million in box office receipts.
