He may be hooked! Ryan Reynolds tweeted along with the rest of Bachelor Nation during Ben Higgins‘ season 20 premiere on Monday, January 4 — and he did not disappoint!
The Green Lantern actor, 39, cracked jokes via Twitter as he patiently awaited the Bachelor’s arrival and, well, his new Deadpool TV spot.
“If I were on The Bachelor, I’d step out of that limo wearing nothing but white socks and like, 312 candy necklaces. #DeadpoolOnTheBachelor,” Blake Lively‘s hubby quipped. “We interrupt this insane violent romantic mayhem with… well, more of the same. #DeadpoolOnTheBachelor.”
Reynolds stuck around long enough to watch Chris Harrison introduce the hunky Bachelor and to witness all of the crazy contestant introductions. He particularly enjoyed Joelle “JoJo” Fletcher’s entrance. The real estate developer first met Higgins wearing a unicorn mask.
“Um… Holy s—-t. That girl’s part Unicorn,” Reynolds wrote. “She’s basically won. #DeadpoolOnTheBachelor.”

The two-hour ABC premiere was (already!) filled with drama and tears. Unlike some of his frequently shirtless predecessors, though, Higgins kept covered in a fitted tux, leaving Reynolds to do all the stripping in his Deadpool sneak peek. During a commercial break, the Criminal actor showed off his chiseled abs and broad shoulders in a repeat-worthy scene from the upcoming action fantasy.
