The Buffy the Vampire Slayer paramours were joined by Boreanaz's Bones love interest Emily Deschanel in the photo uploaded to Gellar's Twitter. "A tale of two leading ladies," the Crazy Ones star, 36, captioned the amazing snapshot of Boreanaz, 44, sandwiched between Deschanel and Gellar.
Gellar's latest Buffy teaser comes two weeks after she reunited and shared an Instagram photo with former costars Seth Green and Michelle Trachtenberg on Feb. 13. While the actors have all moved on since their Buffy days -- Trachtenberg starred on Gossip Girl; Green headlines Dads -- Buffy fans still fondly associate the WB (and CW) stars with their characters on Joss Whedon's supernatural series, as evidenced by Gellar's Thursday Reddit AMA.
"[Whedon] gave me the best superhero I could ever ask for," she said of her empowering, butt-kicking character Buffy Summers. Among the gaggle of fans, many of whom thanked Gellar for the show which ran from 1997 to 2003, one went right to the point and asked, "Spike or Angel?" With no hesitation, Gellar responded, "ANGEL." (Spike and Angel, both vampires, were Buffy's love interests on the show. Spike was played by James Marsters.) When another fan followed-up with the same question in hopes that Gellar would reconsider her choice, she again responded, "Still Angel."
Another user posed the bizarre question, "How did David Boreanaz smell?" The star, who partook in the Q&A post-reunion alongside Boreanaz, revealed, "David honestly smells very good and continues to smell very good." She jokingly added, "I apologize to [Boreanaz's wife Jaime Bergman] for answering that question."
While fans may be gunning for a Buffy and Angel onscreen reunion, they can look forward to one between Gellar and Green, she revealed in her AMA. "I think the person I am most angling to get on the Crazy Ones is Seth Green," she said of the 40-year-old actor who played werewolf Oz on Buffy. "And I will say this: he makes a surprise cameo in an upcoming episode, but I want to get him on for reals."
