We’ve seen almost every iteration of would-be scenarios for Disney Princesses — what they would look like in real life, as Instagram celebs, if they swapped lives — but now, artist Loryn Brantz shows Us how they’d look as they age.
The images, which were originally published in a BuzzFeed post, depict Aladdin‘s Jasmine, The Little Mermaid‘s Ariel, The Princess and the Frog‘s Tiana, and more with just a few wrinkles, some extra weight here and there, and wise, knowing eyes.
The result? A bunch of sweet grandma-like faces with a warm, familiar glow. Some of the biggest changes (aside from the presence of natural, fine lines — no fillers or Botox for the Disney set) are of the hair variety. Jasmine sports voluminous gray locks in her typical body-full pony, Ariel chopped off her fiery tresses for a practical white-colored pixie, and Tiana’s letting her multi-dimensional natural curls shine as she bakes her famous beignets.
