Sexy New Miley Cyrus Video Blasted By Parents Group
She may sing otherwise, but the Parents Television Council is begging for Miley Cyrus to be tamed.
In a statement obtained by TMZ.com, Council president Tim Winter slams the 17-year-old for sending the wrong message in her "sexualized" new video.
In the clip, a pantless Cyrus gyrates on her bed while primping for a night on the town. Once she arrives at a nightclub, the teen singer caresses her chest while she gropes older men on the dance floor.
PHOTOS: Miley's raciest outfits
According to an Oct. 8 poll, more than 75% of UsMagazine.com readers said Cyrus -- who also came under fire for a 2009 Teen Choice Awards performance where she pole danced -- was too raunchy. Watch the video.
"It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one. It sends messages to her fan base that are diametrically opposed to everything she has done up to this point," agrees Winter. "Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fan base so rapidly."

Cyrus on the other hand, insists she's just being Miley.
"I'm just living life," the teen queen recently said in a YouTube video, expressing her gratitude to her loyal fans. "I'm just like y'all!"

Tell Us What You Think
65No everyone misses the point. It's not about her expressing herself or growing up, it's about Money!!!!!!! Pure & simple that's all that matters!!!!!
Got to love this girl. She is hot.
Joan, that is unfortunate, both that you live there and that such areas exist. However, should Miley Cyrus really be a symbol for the hatred you have for your environment? I mean, unless you're saying that she, herself, caused all those god fearing, decent men to become perverts and deviants.
I think people should begin to realize what the real issue is: this is a 17 year old girl who feels that being a woman, or a maturing individual, means wearing the skimpiest outfits and making sexually charged videos. It's not so much that she doesn't have a right to do this, she does and can, but it's really unfortunate that all she feels that it takes to be a woman is to show her body. I'm sure she has a lot more to offer, but you hardly see that of her anymore. She's trying to grow up to fast, and too many people are trying to support really superficial definitions of maturity.
This is ridiculous. Miley Cyrus owns the rights to her body and what she decides to do with it. So what if the video is a bit "provocative." who cares. If you don't want your child watching the video then take every thing away from them like T.V. and the internet. Otherwise, you need to leave Miley alone. She has done nothing wrong besides express herself.
Honestly, she isn't 'Hannah Montana' anymore. She's a growing young lady. Do some of these parents forget what they were like?
what are you trying to prove that your hormones are out of wac this is not you your daddy brought you uop better than that
@ Jane deaux...Halloween is the one day of the year were you can dress however, where ever you want too....its the one night that you can express the way your feeling through clothing.... o and FYI...miley is adult...and she stay true to her fans ..her fans are growing up just like her...and they do have a new role model for younger teens ...icarly...duh...and as soon as she starts to grow up they'll get somebody new ...thats how this business works...o and nobody saying that dressing provocative does not = adult ...miley went to the club in the video..what do you want her to wear a sweater?!?!?..she doesn't dress like that on a regular basis...

She doesnt have to stay Hannah Montana to stay clean and respectable. I cant wait to the little girls whose moms are defending this, decide they want to dress that way at 16 and 17 HOPEFULLY their little girls will find these comments and say "well mom, you thought it was ok for miley why cant i?"
Dressing provocative does not = ADULT. And anyone that thinks it does, is obviously not an adult. ;)
Hard to stay out of peoples business when they put it out there. AND for you people who think kids dont emulate these trashy girls. WHY am i seeing lady gaga costumes for 6 year olds? And what about all the little girls who watched Miley, SO because she wants to be an "adult" now, which she is not even doing, those parents have to now say, OK well honey Miley was ok, BUT now she isnt? How about we get a good role model who stays true to her fans? AND since her last 2 songs didnt even break the top 10 and are not on the top 100 anymore, maybe other people are agreeing?
ok ...wow ppl are really upset about this video..reallY???...shes 17 not 13 ppl ..what do you think 17 year old teens are doing...still sitting at home babysitting or still wearing shorts that come down to the knees or t-shirts with smiley faces...seriously!?!?...and who was the older guy..the hot one that looks 20 ...what do you want her to be a child molester??? just saying...She looks fine she needed to change her image a little bit ...and she looks great doing it...
I personally donâ??t care what she does with her careerâ?¦ The girl wants to break out into a more adult crowd and at the age of 17 that is completely understandable. I rememeber what it was like to be 17 and wanting to be accepted as an adult. I have a 5 year old little girl that loves miley cyrus and since I control what she watches and listens to this is probably one song she wonâ??t watch, thatâ??s the thing that is wrong with other parents they donâ??t always censor what their kids do. Stop complaining and do your parenting to your own child and let miley cyrusâ?? parents do theirs.
Another talented teenie going the trash route. Poor role model for her little tweenie followers.
Taylor Momsen s younger then Miley ang 100% worse but nobody ever talks about her. Joan nobody deserves to b raped ever. Miley s almost 18 and can do whatever sh want's. Stop hateing just you aren't popular and don't get attention (all the hatrs). Nobody's perfect and until you are then don't talk.
I didn't even remotely read all of the comments on here. However for anyone here who said that she deserves to be raped, that is the lowest of lows. NO WOMAN EVER DESERVES TO BE RAPED, EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To Heather, Regardless how the "sleezy or sleazy" is spelled...You are absolutely correct that this is a public forum and I too am intitled to my opinion so therefore my opinion is that everyone needs to stay the hell out of her business especially if you don't like what she is doing. I am sure that you would not like camera's following you around 24/7 judging every single move that you make. I just feel like there are a lot of judgmental people that live in glase houses. For heaven sakes you have ignorant people on here saying that they believe she deserves to be raped...Are you kidding me????
To Tiffany Terry Cortes: You said it so well. "Joan Eberstein" is way to vicious in her remarks about Miley being the one who should be raped. She should certainly be ashamed of herself for saying this. Somehow I think her hatred towards Miley and her belief that she should be the one raped is frightening. Joan needs therapy in a major way. No one should ever wish rape on any woman regardless of her behavior. Joan is spewing venom and needs to shut her mouth. She needs some serious help!!!!
