They’re baaack! Sharon Osbourne revealed on The Talk that her family’s reality show The Osbournes is set to make a comeback, nine years after the MTV series wrapped in 2005. And, apparently, it’s all because Ozzy Osbourne wants to finally be seen sober.

“It’s not as much coming back as a proper series, [but] as an update,” the redheaded matriarch revealed. “At most there’ll be only six to eight episodes and it’s a catch-up on our lives and where we are now because it’s been so long [since we’ve] been seen as a family and our family has grown. We have a granddaughter and a gorgeous daughter-in-law [now],” she added of Jack Osbourne‘s wife Lisa Stelly and their 2-year-old daughter Pearl.

“It was all my husband’s doing because he looked back on his life and he said, ‘I wish we could have done The Osbournes now where I’m clean and sober,'” Sharon said of her husband, adding that there will be “so much to talk about” on the show.

Sharon also confirmed the show’s return in an interview with UK talk show Loose Women, and added, “Ozzy said for the three years we did [the show] he was drunk the whole time and he’d like to be sober.”

According to Sharon, the couple’s children Jack and Kelly Osbourne will return for the reboot. It’s unclear whether their eldest daughter Aimee will be featured on the show.

When asked by Us Weekly about the show’s return, however, a spokesperson for the network said that the show “will not be returning to MTV.”
