Holding a grudge?! Sofia Vergara visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show for an appearance that will air later today, Friday, Dec. 3 — but while she was happy to gush about her big day, she did have one thing to complain about!
Turns out Vergara and husband Joe Manganiello invited DeGeneres to be part of their happy occasion, but due to work constraints and the fact that the wedding was held in Florida, the 57-year-old host had to turn down the invite.
“Why didn’t you make a little more effort to go?” Vergara, 43, asked her. “It’s not like they’re not holding the production for you for one day!”
“I have to do a show every single day, and you had it in Florida,” replied DeGeneres, a little awkwardly!
Ever sassy, Vergara replied that she was going to bring her a gift bag from the wedding, but in the end decided to give it someone else, since DeGeneres didn’t show up!
Attempting to move on, DeGeneres asked her guest to dish on her big day.
“There was my family and closest friends,” Vergara continued, as pictures of her big day flashed up behind her. “Ah, my son, Manolo, was very excited to give me away,” she continued. “It was like a fairy tale, it came out perfectly how I wanted it, I have to say.”
DeGeneres marveled at Vergara’s ability to arrange a wedding in a totally different state.
“I knew what I wanted,” she replied. “I knew I wanted you to come but I guess I wasn’t good enough for you!”
“Were you intimidated for the dancing?” the Modern Family star asked, as photos of the afterparty were shared. “I had a feeling you thought you were not going to be able to measure up with the Latin people there.”
DeGeneres concurred that had been a concern!
As Us Weeky reported previously, Vergara and Manganiello, 38, tied the knot at The Breakers Palm Beach resort in Florida. Celebrity guests who did turn up included her Hot Pursuit costar Reese Witherspoon, his Magic Mike costar Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan Tatum, True Blood‘s Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, and her entire team of Modern Family castmates.
