Nicole Scherzinger Wins Dancing With the Stars!

And the winner of Dancing with the Stars' tenth season is..
Nicole Scherzinger!
The Pussycat Dolls singer, 32 -- aided by pro partner Derek Hough -- nabbed the coveted mirror ball trophy at the conclusion of Tuesday's finale.
Long frontrunners throughout the show's ten weeks, the duo nabbed 115 points (out of a total 120) from the judges for their Monday and Tuesday night dances, with viewer votes helping put them over the edge.

Even before learning of her win, Scherzinger was ecstatic after she and Hough won raves (and a perfect score) for their "Proud Mary" number Tuesday. "I'm just so grateful! I'm just so flipping happy right now!" Hough, 25, cooed that his pop star partner had "exceeded my expectations as a dancer and a person." Added Scherzinger: "It's such an awesome experience!"

Her competition in the final hour was Evan Lysacek, who nabbed 108 judges' points with partner Anna Trebunskaya before viewer votes were tallied. "It's been such a blast," Lysacek told Tom Bergeron after Scherzinger's big win, noting that he and Trebunskaya would be "bonded forever" by their dancing days. "We're so proud of Nicole and Derek!"

At the end of the first hour, Erin Andrews was revealed as the season's third-place finisher. "This experience has meant everything to me, "the tearful ESPN reporter, 32, said. "I have gone through hell the past year," she added in a pre-taped interview. (The star was the subject of a high-profile stalker and death threats earlier this year.) She paid tribute to her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy: "He brought me back to life. He just did!"

73The judges had much more influence this time and pushed for Nicole. Their votes outweighted the viewers votes for the first time. Wss disappointing and ruined the whole season.
Nicole and Dereck were amazing... they deserved that trophy...
Uhhhhh no shocker there......of course she won....i knew that from day one...it really wasnt a competition because no one had the dance skill nicole had but whatever dancing with the stars

I was hoping someone else besides Nicole would win. It was unfair from the beginning. She had a huge advantage over the other contestants. It was like duh she's so good she's a DANCER! It really made the whole season rather dull because from the first episode I knew she was going to win and that it wouldn't be fair.

Nicole Scherzinger attended performing arts school at her high school and, in college, she majored in musical theatre -- voice, dancing and acting. She did not finish college. Perhaps she dropped out because she couldn't compete with her peers? The expectations she had of herself on DWTS would seem to support that. But for her to go on DWTS and compete against people who have zero dance training is like a 25yr old male who dates 18 yr. old females because he can't compete for females his own age.

Im sorry but without reading the comments below all i have to say is no sh!t. She is a performer"dancer singer cock sucker ext. I dont think she had no place in this show but whatever.
Nicole had a huge advantage, yes. But she wasn't a ballroom dancer and she still had to learn a lot to get where she was by the season's end. Being a dancer myself, I can spot technique and while she was better than the others her first week, she still wasn't good. Her technique REALLY improved.
Nicole did deserve it. The final 3 all had dance training. People keep complaining about Nicole, but Erin took dancing lessons all her life and was a part of her college's dance team. That qualifies as a background in dance too, and don't forget Evan gets ballet along with figure skating. I rather see a whole group of contestants that all have potential like this season's final three than mixing up talent with obvious throw aways (hello Buzz and Kate). Honestly, wouldn't everyone rather watch Nicole/Derek and Evan/Ana dances than wince at watching Kate and feel pity for Buzz? They just need to keep the playing field equal.
Naomi I agree. Ever since she cried cause she got an 8 out of ten and said she isnt like other people I hated her there. She should not have won!! Evans partner Anna had this look on her face as they announced the winner as if she just knew it was going to be Nicole. Sucks.
Nicole never should have been on Dancing with the Stars. From the very first episode she was an EXCELLENT dancer and could have been one of the professionals. I thought the whole idea of the show was to take someone with no dance experience (like Erin) and see how far they progress.
I believe nicole should not have even been on the show- she even stated her self "I'm an artist, I'm not like other people" When Lenn pronounced her a winner before Evan had a chance to dance his final dance perturbed me. Being an athlete myself, knowing competition rather well, that would complete frustrate me hearing it and motivate me to not even bother dancing since the decision was already announced. Yes Evan has a background in performing but I do believe he belonged on the show because dance requires hip action which skating does not. Skaters have previously been on the show and won and no one seemed to have an issue then. Erin did well on the show as well but because the judges clearly loved Nicole so much more she was left in the dust without even a chance. I wish the show made it more clear how the votes where going for each star because it does lead you to believe that judges get the final call.

I really think that Evan n Anna should have won. I loved them the whole season, even when ther judges didn't. Nicole n Derek wasn't all that great. Carrie Ann and Bruno had favortism with those two all season. I love Evan. Go Evan and Ana....
