Stars Wars shared a selfie of Chewbacca on instagram
A new photo went up of Chewbacca.

Welcome back to the Wookiee! The official Star Wars Instagram celebrated Star Wars Day on Sunday, May 4th (or may the "fourth" be with you), by sharing a new photo of Chewbacca.

The beloved sidekick to Han Solo is shown in the image with Bob Iger, the chairman and CEO of the Disney Company. Disney struck an agreement with Lucasfilm to produce the upcoming seventh film in the franchise.

In the selfie, Iger is grinning with Chewbacca in full belt costume behind him. The shot was captioned, "Chairman’s new co-pilot. #StarWarsDay."

While it is not known for sure who is inside of the massive Chewbacca get-up, it was confirmed last month that Peter Mayhew, who played Chewie in the original Star Wars trilogy, had signed on for Episode VII

Mayhew, 69, will reunite with Harrison Ford, who famously played Han Solo, for the film. Last week, director J.J. Abrams also announced that Star Wars vets Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia, Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, Anthony Daniels, who embodied C-3PO, and Kenny Baker, who had the role of R2-D2, will be returning to the upcoming installment, as well.

Due out in December 2015, Star Wars: Episode VII welcomes new additions to the cast, including John Boyega (24: Live Another Day), newcomer Daisy Ridley, Oscar Issac (Inside Llewyn Davis), and Adam Driver (Girls).
