Survivor Castways Get Second Chance as Fans Choose Season 31 Players!

Survivor

Are there any immunity idols in this competition? For the first time ever Survivor fans will control the fate of the castaways as they vote for the players who will compete in the upcoming fall season, “Second Chance.”

Thirty-two former players who have never won the whole competition — from season 1 to the current season 30 — are vying to win the million dollar prize and the title of Sole Survivor. Only 20 of them will have the chance to play again.

“The idea of a ‘second chance’ season started brewing during our first season, the moment Kelly Wiglesworth lost to Richard Hatch, in the summer of 2000,” host and executive producer Jeff Probst explained in a press release. “Since their respective seasons ended, these players have been begging for another shot, and this is a fun way to allow our loyal fans to be involved in the creative process.”

Among the eligible castaways are Wiglesworth from season 1, football player Brad Culpepper from season 27 and fan favorite Joe Anglim from the current season. A full list of castaways and personal videos making their case about why they should return is available on a special website.
